Nick Jonas Live In Concert 2015

Nick Jonas' Passion (2015)
Nick Guitar 2 (2015)

Hi everyone! It's been some time since I've posted. I've had some issues with my computer so it is taking longer to go through my computer. But anyways I am back with some photos I took last night. The world famous and extremely talented Nick Jonas had a concert in Tempe, Arizona, as a part of his 2015 fall U.S. tour. Nick put on an entertaining show filled with some updated special effects and great visuals from last year. Nick danced, smiled, and really got into the music of the show. Nick was passionate and did a great job connecting the audience by constantly looking and pointing at fans. The show consisted of songs from his self-titled album, covers, and brand new unreleased songs from his second self-titled album out due in early 2016. Some of the songs performed included Chains, Who I AmLevels, I Want You, Give Love A Try, and Jealous. He also did not have dancers and focused on just the music. It was nice to see a performer without being surrounded by dancers. He also showed off not only his singing abilities with beautiful falsettos and vocal ranges, but also his musical ability, playing with many guitars throughout the show. When Nick sings he comes off genuine and meaningful. His passion and love for music really shines through with his singing. Nothing is half effort or semi-meaningful. With some performers it feels like they are just singing cause it's their job, but Nick is not one of those. He also came on stage with a great attitude and meaningful messages telling the crowd that he hopes his music "helps you with whatever is going in your lives," and to not let anyone tell you are aren't beautiful. The show was also quite inimate as the stage was extremely close to the audience. This show also showed how Nick has been maturing and becoming an adult artist. The crowd was much older and the subject of his songs are much more sexual and adult than ever before. Nick is well on his way to be the next huge adult pop star. One might even compare his shows and music to when Justin Timberlake started to go solo. However, Nick is original and truly unique in the music scene. One of my favorite performances of the night was his new song Under You, which is set to be his next single as it was wildly catchy and great to dance to. I also really enjoyed seeing Levels and Give Love A Try. The devoted crowd was also quite crazy with some pushing, but was singing back every song to Nick and really creating an exciting atmosphere. The concert was a great time and I can't wait to hear his new music and see more concerts in the future.

MAX (Max G Scheider)

Good Time (2015)
MAX (2015)
Ryan (2015)
Today at Live 101.5 Studios, up and coming artist, Max G. Scheider aka MAX, stopped by for an acoustic performance. Max started his career on broadway and various acting roles. He then released his first EP titled First Encounters, in 2010. Since then, he has been working on more music and just released his album titled NWL. NWL was funded through kickstart and he has now signed with DCD2 Records. You can catch MAX as an opener for Fall Out Boys' Boys of Zummer Tour this summer. For this performance he sang fan favorites Puppeteer, Gibberish, Mugshot and covered Michael Jackson's Billy Jean. The performance was fun packed with great harmony of MAX and his guitarist Ryan Siegel. They appeared to be enjoying the performance with smiles, laughs and joking around with one another. Even a little bromance moment. MAX has an impressive vocal range building up momentum and excitement as each song got further and further along. They also had a great moment which involved the packed studio chanting during Mugshot. After the performance, fans had the chance to meet MAX and he was quite nice. Very open, he gave fans hugs, tried to learn some names and had a huge smile on his face. After I met MAX, I saw his guitarist and said a quick hello and got a photo. The performance was a great time. This coming year will be the year more and more people will start to love MAX. Huge star quality. A big shout out to Live 101.5 and Primavera Online High School for today's performance as well!

Little Mix US Radio Tour

Perrie (2015)
Leigh-Anne and Jesy (2015)
Jade (2015)
This past Sunday, the british girl group Little Mix stopped by Arizona during their US Radio Tour. When I first found out there were going to be in Arizona I freaked out. I am a huge fan of Little Mix and I think they are one of the greatest girl groups ever. Little Mix, an uplifting and empowering girl group started as 4 solo artists who were put together as a group on the hit singing show X Factor in 2011 and won. Little Mix consists of Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. They have released two hit albums, DNA and Salute with popular songs such as Wings, Move and Salute. Later this year they are releasing a brand new album called Get Weird. The first single from the new album, Black Magic, is catchy, upbeat, and confidence building song packed with powerful vocals. Throughout the day they did a performance at Wet N Wild Waterpark sponsored by 104.7 Kiss Fm and a performance at Tempe Marketplace sponsored by Live 101.5. They performed fan favorites, How You Doin', Wings, and Black Magic. They did an incredible job performing with a pure and passionate sound. They are all so strong vocally and have impeccable harmony. You could also tell they were having a good time up on stage with constant smiling and laughing with one another. In one instance, a huge bug flew into Jade's hair but she continued to sing and the rest of the group helped her laugh it off. It is really nice to see a group of strong women supporting one another. Little Mix is truly a great girl group that the US is yet to fully recognise. Little Mix also did a wonderful job interacting with the crowds as well. They blew kisses, waved, pointed, and smiled at fans making their performances come off as personal and intimate to each attendee. I, personally fangirled when Perrie looked over and smile and when Jesy pointed to me. I really enjoyed both performances and meeting them also was so cool! They were all so friendly and gave hugs. I was a little star stuck and my hair was crazy. My friend, Leticia, won meet and greet tickets from 104.7 Kiss FM after we have tried for 3 weeks. The hard work and determination paid off. Below is our photo with Little Mix. For my concert photos, I wanted to capture the fun filled, passionate vibe they had on stage. They performed so well that it seemed almost effortless. The next time Little Mix is near you, I would highly recommend it and don't forget to check out Get Weird.

Juneau, Alaska

Mendenhall Glacier (2015)
Orcas In The Wild (2015)
For this week's post I wanted to share some photos I took when I cruised to Alaska. I took a cruise with Norwegian and man, was it a blast! The cruise began in Seattle and lasted a week with stops in the Alaskan cities Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan, as well as Victoria, Canada. Juneau is the capital of Alaska with a population of about 33,300 people and is simply stunning. Surrounded by water, Juneau is the only U.S. capital that is not accessible by car. The only way to get to Juneau is by plane or boat and it is a popular spot for cruise ships. When I visited Juneau, I went and saw Mendenhall Glacier and went on a whale watching tour. During the whale watching tour, I saw orcas. Orcas, also known as killer whales, are endangered and travel to Alaska during the summer. On the boat, my group saw 6 orcas and 1 orca even came within 5 ft of the boat and looked at us. The orcas were so beautiful and it is quite rare to see them on these tours.

Alaskan Forest (2015)
When photographing Juneau, there was so much to look at so I focused on landscapes and some close ups. Some of the landscapes in Juneau I photographed include Alaskan Forests and Juneau Landscape. I also put an emphasis on nature and not so much on the city with people. Alaska is one of these rare places in the world where you can find forests, glaciers, waterfalls, snow year round, frozen deserts and incredible wildlife. I hoped to capture some of this beauty. The actual city of Juneau is quite large and is considered the 2nd largest U.S. city by size. In fact, to get a perspective Juneau is larger than the entire state of Delaware. Downtown Juneau consists mainly of tourist shops and restaurants. Throughout Juneau there are boat docks just about everywhere. During the summer, Juneau has temperatures in 50s to 60s with even colder temperatures near the Glacier.

Close Up Mendenhall (2015)
For Juneau, I tried to capture an overall view of what the town looks like. It was a difficult photo to take as Juneau is so large. I also did not want to lose too much detail of the houses. It was important to find the right distance so that the moutons and the houses could be visible. I really loved the contrast of the houses and the mountain with the theme of man vs. nature. This is a theme I have often done and love to visit. With our everyday activities and lives it is easy to forget that are on this beautiful planet Earth and we are not alone. Nature is extremely important and part of the reason we can live. I photographed this while on the boat tour. I also captured the Orcas In The Wild and Orcas while on the boat tour.

Boats (2015)
For Mendenhall Glacier, I wanted to capture not just the glacier but also how quickly it is melting. Each year with raising CO2 in the atmosphere, glaciers such as this one is melting away. This leads to  raising water levels and effects wildlife. This also leads to flooding of coastal cities. In the photograph, you can see chunks of ice in the water. These chucks of ice were once apart of the glacier. Along with raising environmental awareness, I wanted to capture the pure beauty of the glacier. The contrast in colors and textures is quite appealing. This lead me to take Close Up Mendenhall and Closer Up Mendenhall.

Lastly, I wanted to capture some of the human life style of someone in Juneau. Boats and Juneau Homes were two photographs I took with aims of achieving that. I hope you enjoy my post and more from Alaska and the rest of my adventure to come!

Karmin

Karmin (2015)
Hey, everyone! Long time, no post (see what I did there). For this post, I wanted to do a throwback to when I saw the pop group Karmin perform. Karmin is a pop hip hop duo consisting of Amy Heidermann and Nick Noonan. Their hit songs include "Brokenhearted," "Hello," "Acapella," and most recently "Along the Road." This was a spring concert done at ASU and was a lot of fun. Along with singing, Nick and Amy rapped, played drums, piano, and even trombone. The show was high energy and extremely interactive. The duo sang to fans, making great eye contact, commented to them and even brought up an individual who rapped one of the group's songs. Amy's ability to mix rap with singing in perfect time and Nick's versatility of playing instruments makes for one great of a show. Karmin is extremely talented and full of great character. The use of lighting and other effects such as a microphone that drastically lowers Amy's tone, shows Karmin's ability to constantly entertain and surprise fans with joy. After the show, Karmin met fans and signed autographs. Karmin is definitely a group to root for. For these photographs, I wanted to capture the excitement and great range Karmin shows off in their shows. You can catch Karmin this summer on selectively dates of Lindsey Stirling's 2015 tour.

Drake Bell

Screaming (2015)
Hello Everyone! I have been so busy lately, but I am back to post some more photographs! I have tons to post! I will start with the most recent photos. For this post, I am sharing some photos I took of Drake Bell earlier today. Drake Bell is an American singer-songwriter and actor. He is best known for his roles on the two hit series The Amanda Show and Drake and Josh. He has also released three albums: Telegram, It's Only Time and most recently Ready, Steady, Go. Today he did a show and met a bunch of fans. He performed hits like "Found A Way," "Makes Me Happy" and "Witchcraft." Drake has a great voice and put on a good show. He blends together pop and rock n roll. Afterwards, I got to get his autograph and meet him. Make sure to go check out his music! For these photos I wanted to capture his unique passion and emotion he gives off when he sings. He has a powerful voice and one that you might not expect. His songs often build and are quite catchy. Drake Bell becomes extremely passionate when he sings and his butter smooth voice shines. My personal favorite song of his is "Highway To Nowhere."
